ESE GmbH receives Sustainability Award

The company ESE GmbH from Neuruppin has demonstrated that waste containers with a share of recycled materials of 80% do not need to hide from their newly produced counterparts in terms of their quality. Now the company has received the Sustainability Award of the Cluster Plastics and Chemistry.

The one who dares wins. That’s what ESE GmbH thinks. The high quality of the waste containers, which are being manufactured at the Neuruppin plant and which are made out of recycled materials to an extent of 80%, has also earned the environmental label Blue Angel. ESE GmbH Managing Director Andreas Ziegler: “The Blue Angel is currently the only impartial way to prove that a container has indeed been produced out of recycled plastic to an extent of at least 80%. In addition, we are allowed to participate in procurement procedures under the ecolabel Blue Angel. This is crucial, for example, for municipalities that want to procure sustainably.”

But ESE went even further: in a field test the company was able to prove that the service life of the materials from a single waste container can be increased to 150 years through repeated recycling. The video shows you how it works.
